ABOUT

During one of our visits to Maryhaven, a local treatment center, a remarkable young man shared his frustrations about the judgement he encountered when he was high. He described in poetic detail what it felt like to be high, the escape it offered, the shame he felt, and the overt judgement he received. The reaction to the judgement was for him to go deeper into his struggle. They walk with us, struggle next to us, and we ignore them. We push them deeper into their battle.

“1 in 9 Opioid Deaths in this country are in Ohio." Those are the stakes.
